The Bachelor Takes On Bali

Happy Tuesday everyone...it's that time of the week again! I know that I have said this on multiple occasions, but I'm just not enjoying this season of The Bachelor. Something about Chris just doesn't sit right with me, especially after this episode. But more on that later. Last night, Chris took his final three women to Bali where he stayed at the gorgeous Mulia Bali. If you follow along with me on Twitter you know that I have now added Bali to my travel wish list. Somehow watching The Bachelor just makes me want to travel the world! Ok enough about me...back to last night's episode.

The first date went to Kaitlyn. They went exploring in Bali and got up close and personal with some very aggressive monkeys. Kaitlyn's face was priceless when she saw the monkey's jump on Chris! I have to admit that I would have most likely ran away screaming if a monkey tried to jump on my back, but that's just me! And poor Kaitlyn because the humidity was definitely not being her friend while she was on her date. In the end, she let her guard down and Chris told her he was falling in love with her. Then they spent some quality time together in the fantasy suite!
via Megan Firestone Twitter
Next up was Whitney. I know that some people don't like her because they think she has an annoying voice, but I am Team Whitney all the way. Her and Chris got to sail around the Indian Ocean where she expressed her apologies for the way her sister acted in Chicago and he reassured her that her sister had no influence on his feelings for her. There was a lot of kissing and during their dinner date Whitney put it all on the table and said that she was ready to move to Iowa and have Chris' babies. He also told her that he was falling in love with her! I thought that the Bachelor wasn't supposed to say that to the ladies, but I guess Chris is just special!
via The Bachelor Facebook
Lastly we had Becca. They walked through an agricultural town in Bali and ended up in a temple where the sacred man (I really don't know what he's called :/) told them that they needed to "make love" at the end of their date. Little did he know that Becca is a virgin...guess that's not happening! Anywho, the date progressed and it was just downright awkward. A lot of pausing and the conversation was just dull and boring. Becca finally told Chris about her virginity (once she already accepted his invitation to the fantasy suite) and he was okay with it.

Bachelor Chris got emotional with Chris Harrison after he confessed that he was falling in love with all three women. Chris Harrison basically told him to man up and make a decision! At the rose ceremony, Chris pulled Becca aside to clarify some of their conversations and yet again he told her he was falling in love with her. Personally I think it's quite tacky for him to tell all three women that he was falling in love with them. That just makes the heart break that much harder when he lets them go. In the end he sent Kaitlyn home without the rose.

Next week is the Women Tell All! Can't wait for all the drama to ensue. Who do you think gets Chris' final rose? Becca or Whitney?

Time to Meet the Family

It is that time on The Bachelor where we get to meet the crazy families. I have to admit that I didn't watch the full episode because I was in and out of the room helping my dad last night, so today's recap will be super short.

The night started off with Chris kicking Britt to the curb. I mean let's be honest...there was no way that a girl that slept with her makeup on was going to live in a small town and be a farmer's wife. It just took Prince Farming some time to figure that out...with a little help from Carley. Speaking of Carley, can she be my best friend? I love that girls honesty and the fact that she is not afraid to tell it like it is. Unfortunately she didn't receive a rose and couldn't bring Chris home to meet her family, but I'm calling for her to be the next Bachelorette! She would be hilarious!
via The Bachelor Facebook
So that left Becca, Whitney, Kaitlyn and Jade to take Chris home to meet their families. The only girl's hometown that I saw all of was Whitney's and let me tell you...I'm am 99% positive that she get's the final rose! Call me optimistic, but their connection is just too real and I could actually see her living on a farm.

In the end, Chris sent Jade home without a rose. Can't wait to see what happens on next week's episode!

Deadwood, SD Gets a Visit from The Bachelor

It's Tuesday! That means it's time for another Bachelor recap. We started off with Kelsey having her "panic attack" which succeeded because she got the rose and Samantha and Mackenzie were sent packing. Then it was off to Deadwood, SD for the week with Prince Farming and his ladies.

Becca got the first one-on-one and she seems like such a genuine person. She finally shared her first kiss with Chris after they went horseback riding! She did receive the rose at the end of the night.
via The Bachelor Facebook
The group date was interesting to say the least. The girls got a surprise from Big & Rich where they had to write their own songs to perform for Chris. The girls did a great job and almost brought Chris to tears. It wasn't until the second part of the date where the drama ensued. Chris decided to leave all the other girls and take Britt to a special concert with Big & Rich where he gave her the rose. He legitimately just left the other girls sitting back at the bar...not cool Chris, not cool!!!
via The Bachelor Facebook
The ultimate two-on-one date was with Kelsey and Ashley! Kelsey had already had a confrontation with some of the other girls earlier in the week in regards to her fakeness and Ashley was ready to kick some ass and send Kelsey home! I will make a long story short....Ashley tells Chris that Kelsey is fake and no one likes her, Chris asks Kelsey why she is being fake, Kelsey tells Chris that Ashley is immature, and Chris sends both Ashley and Kelsey home!! Finally the two drama queens are gone!
via Good Morning America Twitter
The best part of the episode was the girls celebrating the producer taking Kelsey's suitcase!! To quote Kaitlyn..."Let's get drunk!!!"

The Bachelor Heads to Santa Fe

It's Bachelor Recap Tuesday!!! To be honest with you, I am completely over this season. The girls are just way too strange and Chris is just not interesting to watch. My recaps will be short and to the point because this season is really not even worth watching. So if you didn't watch last night's episode, here is the run down.
via The Bachelor Facebook Page
The ladies arrive in Santa Fe, New Mexico (sorry to burst your bubble Megan, but yes you're still in the USA and no you're not at the beach) and get ready for the week of dates. Carly gets the first one-on-one and to say it is the most awkward and inappropriate first date is putting it nicely. There are no words to describe what I had to watch, so if you want to see it you will have to watch it yourself. As awkward as it was, Carly gets the rose at the end of the night.

For the group date, the girls go whitewater rafting down the Rio Grande River. All is fine until the evening arrives and Jordan (already eliminated and a drunk) shows up and Chris lets her join the party. The girls get super pissed and Ashley I. begins her childish antics once again. Seriously why is she still there...if I have to hear that she is a virgin one more time I'm seriously going to boycott the show! Whitney though shows that she is a bigger person and really a nice girl and is rewarded by receiving the group date rose.
via The Bachelor Instagram
Britt gets the last one-on-one and is woken up by Chris early in the morning to go on a hot air balloon ride as the sun rises. It was a pretty uneventful date other than the fact that we learned that Britt doesn't shower on a regular basis and Chris closed the doors to his bedroom at the end of the date when they supposedly took a nap.
via The Bachelor Instagram
The crazy comes out in Kelsey and I don't really know what to say about her. I really liked her at the beginning and thought that she would be one of Chris' final girls, but now I am seriously starting to wonder. I hope she's not, but I think she may be lying about her husband dying. She says it's all about her "story".
via The Bachelor Twitter
Unfortunately this episode is to be continued because Chris didn't want to have a cocktail party and Kelsey had to be tended to by the paramedics. I am massively confused as to what is going on with this show, but for your sake I will keep watching!

Camping and Mud Runs on The Bachelor

It’s Bachelor Recap Tuesday! I will spare you the snarky intro comments and get straight into what went down on last night’s episode of The Bachelor.

Group Date – Eight of the women were treated to a lovely day at the lake that included jumping in the water naked, a game of Red Rover and Kelsey being totally annoyed with the whole situation. Chris on the other hand was loving all the women in their bikinis and clearly enjoying himself. The date didn’t end with a day of frolicking at the lake though, they got to camp in tents too! To make a long story short, everyone got drunk, Ashley S. was still acting as crazy as ever, MacKenzie thought there were aliens, Ashley I. snuck into Chris’ tent to tell him she was “inexperienced” and then proceeded to make out with him and Kaitlyn had the best commentary ever on all of the events! See you didn’t even have to watch the episode!!
via The Bachelor Instagram
While the ladies were camping, Chris’ three sisters came to the house to decide who was going to go on the one-on-one date this week. They questioned each of the girls separately and in the end they chose Jade to go on a Cinderella-inspired date.

One-On-One – Jade was pampered and transformed into a true Disney princess and was whisked away to her awaiting prince at the ball! How sweet and romantic! I really think Jade is a front-runner. She seems very quiet and could possibly be Chris’ type, but who knows what he is actually looking for. At the end of the night Jade got the rose and got to waltz with her Prince Farming in front of a live orchestra.
via The Bachelor Instagram
Group Date – The six remaining women were whisked off to San Francisco (in white wedding dresses) to compete in a mud run. The winner got to spend the rest of the evening with Chris, while the remaining women got to go home in typical Bachelor fashion. Jillian being the man-beast that she is smoked through the course and won some alone time with her man. Unfortunately for her she wouldn’t shut up about her training and fitness competitions and random questions to let Chris get a word in. She blamed it on the nerves, but thank gosh The Bachelor finally made a sound decision and didn’t just kiss her and give her a rose…he actually sent her home! I’m so proud of you Chris.
via The Bachelor Facebook Page
Rose Ceremony – I honestly think that most of the girls in the house are a little off their rockers. If you follow me on Twitter, you know that I really am starting to wonder. Basically the whole cocktail party we had to hear about Ashley I. being a virgin and she wanted to make sure Chris knew. I’m sorry but why is this such an important story line…really who cares that you’re a virgin! She needs to be more like Becca (who is also a virgin) and learn to keep her mouth shut and act like a lady. Can you tell I’m not a fan of Ashley I. In the end, Chris sent home Ashley S. (it’s about darn time), Nikki and Juelia.

What were your thoughts on last night’s episode? Be sure to stay tuned next week for another Bachelor Recap Tuesday!

Jimmy Kimmel Crashes The Bachelor

It’s that time of week again…Bachelor Recap Tuesday!! As much as I hate to say it I am not enjoying this season of the show. The girls are annoying and Chris…well I can’t quite put my finger on it, but he hasn’t impressed me. Oh well I’m still watching so I guess I should stop complaining.

This week the dates were planned and crashed by Jimmy Kimmel. His presence entirely made this episode. If you weren’t able to watch last night (or even if you did), here is the quick version of what happened. All opinions are my own ;)
via The Bachelor Twitter Page
One-On-One – Chris chose Kaitlyn to go on a date and they were in for a surprise because Jimmy sent them to Costco with a massive list. I quite liked this date because it was very real life. What couple doesn’t go to Costco? After shopping they go back to Chris’ place and cook dinner for Jimmy and I think my cheeks were hurting from laughing so much at the comments Jimmy was making. It was a very down to earth date and in the end Kaitlyn got a rose. I think she will be around for a while, but I don’t think he will pick her in the end.

Group Date – This date had The Bachelor and Jimmy Kimmel written all over it. The girls had to basically go through a farm obstacle course which included shucking corn, milking a goat and catching a pig. Carly won the obstacle course and got to spend some extra time with Chris, but it was at the cocktail part of the date where things got interesting. I have made up my mind that since Chris doesn’t get to kiss very many women in Iowa, he is going to take advantage of the situation and kiss all the women on the show. I think it’s a bit trashy, but to each his own. Anywho, the one girl that stuck to her morals and who hasn’t kissed Chris – Becca – got the rose on the group date!
One-On-One – I am calling it right now…Chris gives his final rose to Whitney. The two of them went wine tasting in Malibu and she decided that she wanted to crash a wedding that was happening on the property. During their whole date I had a genuine smile on my face. The way he looks at her and the chemistry they have is all very real and I haven’t seen him like that with any of the other girls. Chris gives Whitney the rose at the end of the evening and like I said before my money is on Whitney receiving the final rose and maybe even a proposal at the end of this!
Pool Party – Jimmy decided that instead of a cocktail party they would have a pool party before the rose ceremony. I have three words for the party…drama, drama, drama. All of the antics of the girls are not even worth nothing because that is how ridiculous they were all acting. If you want to see for yourself, feel free to watch the episode. In the end, Amber, Tracy, and Trina were sent home without a rose. And if you’re wondering, yes the crazy chic is still there!!! :)

What did you think of this week’s episode? Do you have any front runners for the final rose?

The Bachelor Goes On His First Dates

Did you watch last night’s episode of The Bachelor? If you didn’t, I have to admit that you didn’t miss very much. I must confess…I am not a fan of Prince Farming. Will it keep me from watching this season…probably not, but I am definitely not invested in Chris finding “the one.” I can’t figure out if he is just overly nice or if he just doesn’t have a personality that is made for TV. Whatever it is I don’t think that he is captivating the Bachelor audience. But that is just my opinion…don’t hate me if you love Farmer Chris!

Now on to what happened last night!

First Group Date – It wouldn’t be The Bachelor if you didn’t have a pool party and so that’s what they did. Chicken fights were included. And if it couldn’t get any tackier, the producers made the girls walk in their bikinis on the streets of Los Angeles to a good old fashioned tractor race! I mean come on, tractor races are totally normal on the streets of LA and for a first date, right? Remind me why I watch this show again…
via The Bachelor Facebook Page
Ashley I. (the I’m more of a Kardashian girl) wins the tractor race, but Mackenzie gets the one-on-one date at the end of the day. If you follow me on Twitter you know that I am shocked that he has kept Mackenzie around. I am sure that she is a sweet girl, but I think that she is too young for Chris and way to immature. My case in point... “Do you believe in aliens?” or “I like guys with big noses.” End of story. Yet she still gets a rose at the end of the night.

One-On-One – The first one-on-one date of the season goes to Megan. Wait isn’t she the girl that snuck into Chris’ place with Jillian while she was drunk and was running her head into the walls? Yup, that’s the one! And she was so wasted that she thought that she was just getting a little love note from Chris, not a date card. I tell you the girls on this season are something else!
via The Bachelor Twitter Page (@BachelorABC)
Anywho, she sobers up and off they go on their date to the Grand Canyon. Flying over the Grand Canyon has been added to my list of dreams because of this date…the views look absolutely amazing! She seems like a nice girl and opens up to Chris about her father’s tragic passing and guess what…he kisses her and then gives her the rose! No surprise there.

Second Group Date – Eleven girls are whisked off to some spooky Zombie land where they have to face their attackers with paint ball guns. Totally normal date night activity! All I have to say is Ashley S. is bonkers. Something is clearly not right with the poor girl and yet Chris acts like she is completely normal. I really think he is just trying to be nice or he is just plain stupid if he can’t see that she is off her rocker!

Chris gets to spend time with some of the girls individually and he kisses them all. But Britt (his first impression rose) got a special note that said she got free kisses. Britt is the only girl that I think he truly has chemistry with at this point. In the end, Kaitlyn (girl who break dances and is from Canada) got the rose for the date.

Rose Ceremony – Let the fun begin. We had drunk Jordan, Ashley I. revealing she’s a virgin (and never had a boyfriend!) while Mackenzie tells her that being a virgin is a total advantage because guys totally love to take your virginity and Jillian slipping and falling because she thought Chris called her name when really he called Juelia! That’s about it!
Drunk Jordan via The Bachelor Facebook Page
Here are the ladies that received roses last night Amber, Ashley I., Ashley S., Becca, Britt, Carly, Jade, Jillian, Juelia, Kaitlyn, Kelsey, Mackenzie, Megan, Nikki, Samantha, Tracy, Trina, and Whitney. And yes the crazy Ashley S. got a rose! I am beginning to think he likes the crazy ones!

What were your impressions of Chris and the ladies on their first dates? Are you a fan of Prince Farming?

The Bachelorette Recap – Part I in Santa Barbara

Last night was part 1 of The Bachelorette two-night special and it didn’t disappoint. There was a little bit of everything – from a “normal” date to singing to fake wrinkles to more man drama. With that being said I am still really hopeful that Andi finds her guy in the end. She seems like she is taking this process seriously and genuinely wants to get to know every guy. Now let’s recap what happened in Episode 3 of The Bachelorette.

First 1-on-1: Nick – This date had a lot of hype surrounding it because Nick was the recipient of the first impression rose. They started off riding bikes along the boardwalk in Santa Barbara and then went on a hike to Lizard’s Mouth. Nick willingly admits that he is skeptical about the process and shares that information with Andi. She says that she will “make him a believer” and he starts to open up. I really like the chemistry between the two of them because they both seem to be on the same pages with their life. Did I mention that at the cocktail party he sent Andi flowers to thank her for his date because he wanted to try to make it as normal as possible?!! I think that may have made Bachelorette/Bachelor history!! I have high hopes for Andi and Nick’s relationship.

Group Date – Why are these always so darn hilarious?! I could not stop laughing because putting 12 guys on stage singing Boys II Men is just torture. I thought that they were all good sports, but it was still so funny to watch! My favorite part of group dates is when the guys get 1-on-1 time with Andi. She is quite the prankster – asking Cody why he had a girlfriend and watching him sweat was pure perfection. Marcus finally got his first kiss with Andi – I definitely think this relationship will progress, but I think it will be purely physical. Now don’t hate me, but I think Eric is a bit insecure. He kept asking if he had thanked her for his date and kept wanting reassurance that she still liked him when really he needed to just focus on building his relationship. Don’t even get me started on Josh M. because their chemistry and connection is unreal. They both get very giddy when they are around each other and it is very sincere. If Andi doesn’t pick him, I will definitely take him for myself! :)

Images via The Bachelorette on ABC.com - 1 | 2
Second 1-on-1: JJ – Finally we get to see the Pantsaprenuer!! I thought this date was so awesome. Not only did they get to see what the other one would look like in 50 years, but they both played their parts perfectly when they were in the park. It was very endearing that he asked if he could kiss her on the tire swing…what a gentleman. Like I said prior, I really like that Andi is genuinely interested in getting to know the guys because her conversations always have depth. Her and JJ have more in common than you would think and it will be fun to see if their relationship can blossom.

Images via The Bachelorette on ABC.com - 1 |
Cocktail Party/Rose Ceremony: There is always DRAMA and this season is no exception! JJ and Josh M. confronted Andrew about getting a waitress’ phone number before filming started and of course he denied, denied, denied! Josh M. is very protective of Andi already and it shows that he has true feelings for her. But I say leave the drama at home…it’s not worth it and it is annoying for the viewers!

What do you think of Andi’s dates and men so far? Will you be watching part II tonight?

The Bachelorette Goes On Her First Dates

Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day weekend and reminisced the true reason why we celebrate the holiday – to remember those that have lost their lives fighting for our freedom and those that are still fighting.

My holiday weekend was capped off with episode 2 of The Bachelorette - did you tune in? Andi went on her first 1-on-1 dates and had her first group date and in my opinion these dates are very telling on what she likes and how the season is going to go as a whole.

First 1-on-1: Eric -- Let me start by saying that I know there has been some controversy as to if ABC should have cut him out of the show. In my personal opinion, I think that ABC did the right thing by airing Eric’s date with Andi. He seemed like such a charismatic guy and you could tell that Andi was intrigued by all of the stories that he had to share. His legacy will definitely live on. For more information on how you can #LiveLikeEric, please visit www.livelikeeric.com.

Group Date – How do I even begin to describe this date? I actually don’t think words are needed for the first part of the date…just enjoy the pictures!

Image via The Bachelorette Facebook page
Now the second half of the date didn’t go as well. What was Craig thinking?? Come on, you are a grown man and you think getting drunk and losing your marbles is the right way to win a woman’s heart? I’m sorry but he is a complete loser and I’m surprised Andi waited until the rose ceremony to eliminate him. On the other hand, Marcus got the only rose on the date. I can’t figure out though if Andi really likes him or if she just thinks he hot.

Second 1-on-1: Chris -- It is adorable that Chris is a farmer from Iowa…it doesn’t get more real than him. The whole concept of the date was awesome and they both looked fabulous. I just didn’t see the chemistry right away with Andi and Chris; maybe the sparks will be a gradual build. To me, he is too safe for her! But what do I know, he did get the first kiss!

Image via The Bachelorette Facebook page
Ohh and we can’t forget about Josh M. His interaction with Andi during the cocktail party was unreal. There is so much chemistry and you can tell how much she likes him already just by the way she looks at him! I can’t wait to see their relationship blossom.

What did you think about Andi’s first dates?

Andi Meets Her 25 Bachelors + My Predictions

I couldn’t be happier that Andi is The Bachelorette. She is strong, smart, independent and seems like just a fun person to be around. Last night she met the 25 guys that are going to try to win her heart. Now I have to admit watching the guys get out of the limos is probably one of the funniest things ever. I actually think that they make themselves look like complete dorks – going in for a handshake on the first date, come on guys!! If you missed the season premiere, here are a couple of the notable moments of the guys getting out of the limo:

  • Brett stole a lamp (full-size) from the hotel and gave it to Andi. She made sure that it was returned!
  • Cody decided it would be a good idea to push the limo because he is a personal trainer. Andi made note that Cody shouldn’t be out of breath if he was a trainer!
  • Nick S. rode in on a golf cart – that is just what professional golfers do!
  • Patrick brought out a soccer ball (Really???!! Did you not watch last season??!!) and then claimed he wasn’t anything like her last experience with a soccer player!

Overall I think it was a great start to the season and I really am rooting for Andi in her journey to find true love. Now, there were some guys that stood out and I have narrowed down my top three and have made my prediction for who Andi will choose in the end.
  1. Josh M. – You could tell that there was an instant attraction and chemistry just by the way she looked at him! As she said last night, he is her type! He will get the final rose.
  2. Marcus – The only reason I am putting him in my top three is because she could not stop commenting on how “hot” he was.
  3. Nick V. – While I do think he is on the dorkier side for her, she did give him the first impression rose. He could be a front runner this season!

The Bachelorette is Back!!

I am so excited that The Bachelorette is back and couldn’t be happier that it is Andi’s turn to find love - she was one of my faves on The Bachelor! As much as the whole “journey” of The Bachelor/Bachelorette is made for TV, I really can’t help but get invested in the show. Come on, who wouldn’t love the chance to date 25 yummy bachelors who are all vying for your attention! I can’t wait to see the 25 guys that will try to win Andi’s heart and I totally hope that she finds her Mr. Right. Tomorrow I will be doing a full recap of the premiere and I will make my picks for who I think she chooses in the end.
