My Go To Teacher Bag

Happy Monday! I am back to teaching today as last week I finally had spring break! I wanted to share with you my go to teacher bag. Now I know what you're thinking, why do you need a bag for teaching? But let me tell you...I have so many papers and agendas that get hauled back and forth with me to school that I needed something to keep me organized.

My solution...DIAPER BAGS! I have found that diaper bags make the best teacher bags. They make for super easy organization and most of the time they are super durable. Now a little disclaimer, I started off the year with the Skip Hop Chelsea Downtown Satchel. However, around Thanksgiving I hurt my back pretty bad and was not able to carry the load on only one shoulder, so I've had to switch to diaper backpacks! And I'm so glad that I did.

My current bag is the Skip Hop Forma Backpack and it is the best purchase I've ever made. Not only is it a lightweight fabric, but it offers the convenience of being able to organize everything from my laptop to papers that need to be graded to my ridiculous amount of colored pens. Everything has a spot in this backpack!

I was just on Skip Hop's website recently and they have introduced two new backpacks that I cannot wait to get my hands on! Because who doesn't love a stylish, yet functional bag for work! :)

Day to Night with AUrate New York

Being a high school teacher, one of the things that can be difficult sometimes is wearing an outfit that can transition from day to night. During the day it has to be functional because you are constantly walking around the classroom and kneeling down to the students level and at night it has to be sophisticated and professional for performances or activities that might involve interacting with parents. I have found that the kind of jewelry that I wear is the key to transitioning my outfits from day to night.

I've put together some of my favorite outfits that I could easily take from day to night!

I recently came across AUrate New York online and I could not be more in love with their simplistic jewelry and earrings. Even better for each piece of jewelry you purchase at AUrate, an economically underprivileged child will receive a book.

Thank you to AUrate New York for inspiring this post.

I'M BACK!!!

Wow!! Can't believe it's been almost a year since I've posted. It is absolutely crazy how life changes in unexpected ways and shows you what truly matters. Back in 2015, I wrote about what it meant to me to become a teacher and the reasons why I was going back to school...you can read that here. Looking back on that, all of my reasons still hold true and I could not be more happy with my decision to get back into teaching.

I don't quite know yet what this space is going to become, but I do know that it will evolve with me! I want to share my teaching tips to teacher fashion to everything in between. Becoming a teacher is probably the best thing that I have ever done and I'm excited to see how Kindly With K evolves!

Let me know if there is anything in particular that you would like me to share or if you just want to chat! Feel free to email me at kindlywithk@gmail.com or send me a message on social media @KindlyWithK!

I really am looking forward to being back!
