Oh The Places I'll Go

Recently I subscribed to Sunset Magazine and Travel + Leisure magazine. Looking through the pages of both magazines and reading the articles makes me realize how much I would love to travel the world. I have never been out of the country and have only visited a handful of states here in the U.S., but it has always been a dream of mine to travel all around the world and see all the wonderful cultures and places that make up this wonderful place called Earth! I have composed a list of my top 5 places that I would love to visit. Have you ever traveled the world?

1. London

2. New York City

3. Santorini, Greece

4. Cape Town, South Africa

5. Sydney, Australia

Where have you traveled that you absolutely loved? I'd love to hear from you!

3 Tips for a Successful Career

Many times it is engrained in our heads as children that in order to be successful you have to make a lot of money. As I’ve grown older and started to navigate the business world, I’ve learned that success does not equal money. In any career, success is what you make it. For some people success might mean that they are the happiest they have ever been and for others it might be seeing their clients business grow and know that they were a part of that. However you measure success, it is important to remember a few things that will only help to drive your career to the next level.

1. Find your passion.
You do not want to be stuck in some dead-end job that you hate. Finding what you are passionate about and turning that into your career will help you to lead a more fulfilled life. You don’t want to be one of those people that watches the clock and counts down the time until you can leave the office. Do what you love and your career will follow!

2. Be open and honest.
Honesty is never a bad thing. Be open with your superiors if you are having a problem or want to share your ideas. You don’t know what you’re missing unless you speak up!

3. Never stop learning.
Even though you are out of college and you don’t have a professor grading your assignments, that doesn’t mean you should stop learning. Learning happens every day! Take advantage of your mentors and co-workers and learn how they do their job. It does not hurt to ask questions and be inquisitive about your job and the industry you are in. You should constantly be taking in everything that you can and continuing to acquire knowledge!

Stylish Bags for the Working Woman

Happy Monday! Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! As a young professional and as a young woman, sometimes it is hard not to get lost in the mix. This week I will be sharing what it takes to be a successful working woman with tips on work wear appropriate attire, how to be successful and much more.

Today I am starting off with bags that are perfect for the working woman. Not only do they work at the office, but they transition perfectly for after work affairs and the weekends. I recently came across both of these brands on Twitter and to say they are amazing is putting it nicely. Dagne Dover and Hayden-Harnett bags are already on my “Want It, Need It” list!

Desk Décor: Time to Work

One of my favorite things about interior design and decorating is seeing how different individuals interpret different spaces. Whether that be adding diverse textures or adding layers, making a space unique is all part of the fun.  Workspaces are one of those spaces that you can add your personality and truly make the space your own. Having a desk in your bedroom or an entire office to decorate can be tricky sometimes, but I have pulled together some desk décor inspiration to hopefully get your creative juices flowing.
